Puking at the Finish Line

That happened a few days ago…not fun.

But I was stupid and after running 2.99 miles I just really wanted to sprint to the finish…and I did. After running 3.1 miles I wound up puking on the stop sign for 5 minutes. Damn skyrocketing heart rate.

So I have now learned my lessons:

  1. I really need to drink more water
  2. Don’t sprint at the end…you really want to but don’t
  3. Puking is not fun
  4. and number 3 is the reason why YOU DON’T SPRINT AT THE END!!
  5. Unless your body can handle and you are prepared…or if you enjoy puking, but honestly…who enjoys puking?

Any who..off to work for me.

C25K Week 7 Day 2

OMG I wanted to die this morning!!!

Ack!

I really need to learn how to breathe and keep breathing while running. I made the first .5 miles with out stopping and then the rest of the 2 miles was jog til I couldn’t breathe, walk, jog til I couldn’t breathe, walk. It was soooo frustrating!!! It was nice and cool though, 44 degrees at 6am. Also I’m pretty sure that I didn’t drink enough water yesterday (actually I’m pretty sure I don’t drink enough water ever, le sigh) and that’s why I think it hurt so much this morning (not bad hurt as in muscle pain…it just burned!).

But I’m not going to stop, and I’m going to keep going, the whole point is to get out there and DO something!

C25K Week 6 Day 1

Ran 2.34 mi on 08/21/2012 2.34 mi Run / Jog 35:15 303 kCal 15:02 min/mi Sweet! 2.34 Miles! The pace was a little slow, but I’m still recovering from my post Choir Camp Sickness so I had to switch from running to walking so I could cough with out passing out. So while I’m sad I couldn’t run the whole sections I was supposed to run (intervals are awesome!) I at least got out there and did something! Which is awesome!  What I really find challenging is staying slow and steady in order to keep my breathing normal(ish). All I really want to do is sprint…or at least be speedier than I am.
